Product Description Generator

The Product Description Generator creates complete, SEO-optimized product descriptions for your online shop — including a short description, detailed main text, bullet points, meta title, and meta description. Everything in one generation, directly from your business data.

Overview

The tool is designed for anyone selling products online: individual items in your own shop, physical products, digital offerings, or services. The descriptions are built on proven copywriting principles and conversion psychology — and sound like you, not like a brochure.

Prerequisite: Your Business Profile, your Brand Voice, and at least one Product or Service must be set up in your data library. The more complete these details are, the better your results will be.

What the Tool Creates for You

From a single generation, you receive:

  • Hook — a powerful opening sentence that immediately speaks to your target audience's deepest desire or pain point

  • Short Description — 2–3 concise sentences for the top section of your product page

  • Bullet Points — 4–6 benefit-focused highlights with bold labels, optimized for mobile

  • Detailed Main Description — structured around the BAB framework (Before → After → Bridge)

  • Meta Title — maximum 60 characters, with primary keyword, designed to drive clicks

  • Meta Description — 140–155 characters, with a call-to-action, optimized for Google search results

  • SEO Tags — 5 suggested tags for your shop system

  • Alt Text Suggestion — for your product image, SEO-relevant

  • Social Media Teaser — 1–2 sentences ready for your channels

  • Internal Link Suggestion — which other products or categories you could link to

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1 — Select Your Product

Open the Product Description Generator and select your product or service from the first field.

Recommendation: Always choose a specific product from your data library. The tool will then use exactly the target audience, problem, and solution you've defined for that product — without mixing in data from other products.

Step 2 — Optional Settings

These fields are optional but noticeably improve the result:

Technical Details / Specifications Everything that isn't already in your data library: dimensions, weight, materials, colors, variants, ingredients, delivery contents. These details feed directly into the bullet points.

Important: The tool never invents technical data. If a detail isn't in the form or your data library, it won't appear in the output — this protects you from incorrect product claims.

Main Description Length

  • Short (~100 words) — for simple products or limited space in your shop

  • Medium (~200 words) — the default, suitable for most products

  • Long (~350 words) — for complex products, high-ticket offers, or items that need more explanation

Step 3 — Activate Knowledge Base (Optional)

If you've uploaded product-specific PDFs (e.g. product data sheets, certifications, catalog pages), activate the Knowledge Base toggle.

Then add a note in the context field to guide the tool — e.g. "Technical specifications for Model X" or "Certifications and test results." Without this hint, the tool doesn't know which part of your knowledge base is relevant.

Go to Knowledge Base — upload PDFs here that the tool can reference.

Step 4 — Additional Instructions (Optional)

Use this field for any specific requirements:

  • "Make sure to mention free shipping on orders over €50"

  • "Optimize this description for Amazon"

  • "Emphasize our sustainability — we are CO₂-neutral certified"

  • "Avoid the word 'cheap' — we position ourselves in the premium segment"

Step 5 — Generate

Click Create Product Description. Depending on the amount of product data, generation takes 30–90 seconds.

The Results Page at a Glance

The result is split into four tabs:

Tab 1 — Short Description

Contains the hook, short text, and bullet points. This section is designed for the upper visible area of your product page — what customers see before they scroll.

The hook is visually highlighted. It is the single most important sentence in the entire description. If it doesn't feel right, use the "Edit / Refine" function and describe what you'd like changed — e.g. "Make the hook more direct" or "Start with the pain point, not the solution."

The bullet points always follow the format: Bold Label: Benefit explanation. They never list features — only the concrete value for the buyer.

Tab 2 — Detailed Description

Contains the full main description structured around the BAB framework:

  • Before — the customer's situation before they know your product. Tangible, real, without exaggeration.

  • After — the concrete, improved life after the purchase. Specific, not abstract.

  • Bridge — your product as the natural connection between the two states. The final sentence is an invitation, not a feature list.

This text is ideal for the lower section of your product page or the detailed description field in your shop system.

Tab 3 — SEO & Meta

Contains all SEO-relevant elements with a character counter and color indicator:

  • Green — character count in the optimal range

  • Orange — borderline, still acceptable

  • Red — too long, will be cut off in Google

Copy the meta title and meta description directly into the corresponding field of your shop system (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) or your SEO plugin.

Tab 4 — Extras

Contains the social media teaser and internal link suggestion. The teaser works directly as a starting point for an Instagram or LinkedIn post announcing the product.

Editing and Refining Your Result

Inline Editing

Click directly into the text to make small corrections — prices, names, dates. Changes are saved immediately.

AI-Assisted Refinement

Click on Edit / Refine and describe what you'd like changed:

  • "Shorten the bullet points to a maximum of 10 words each"

  • "The Before section feels too dramatic — make it more realistic"

  • "Add a mention of free returns"

  • "The hook should be a question, not a statement"

All versions are saved in the version history. You can return to any previous version at any time.

Exporting and Using Your Result

  • Copy — every tab has its own copy button for direct pasting into your shop system

  • Copy All — copies all content at once

  • Save — saves the description under "My Product Descriptions"

  • Download — exports as a text file

Where to Find Your Saved Descriptions

All generated product descriptions are available under My Product Descriptions in the top right of the tool. You can filter by product category, creation date, or status.

Frequently Asked Questions

The result doesn't sound like my brand — what should I do?

In almost all cases, this comes down to the Brand Voice settings in your data library. Go to Brand Voice and review: tone of address (formal/informal), communication style, preferred phrases, and no-go words. The more specific these settings are, the more closely the output matches your brand. Then generate again.

The tool is writing things that aren't accurate — e.g. wrong dimensions or prices.

The tool never invents data — but it can only work with what's in your data library. If a measurement is wrong, it was entered incorrectly in your product data. Go to Products & Services and correct the details. Also use the "Technical Details" field in the form for any information that isn't in the data library.

The bullet points list features, not benefits.

Enter in the refinement field: "The bullet points should only describe benefits — what the customer gets out of it, not what the product does." The tool will then apply the Feature → Benefit → Benefit of the Benefit framework more consistently.

The meta title is flagged as too long.

Google cuts off meta titles at around 60 characters. Use the refinement function: "Shorten the meta title to a maximum of 55 characters, with the primary keyword at the front."

The focus keyword appears unnaturally often in the text.

Enter in the refinement field: "The keyword should only appear in the hook and the meta title — use more natural phrasing everywhere else." Readability always beats optimization.

I have multiple products — do I need to generate separately for each one?

Yes. Each product description is generated individually so that it's genuinely tailored to the specific product, its target audience, and its unique value. Generic descriptions that could apply to multiple products convert at a lower rate.

Can I paste the description directly into my Shopify / WooCommerce shop?

Yes. Copy the short description and bullet points into the short description field of your shop, the BAB text into the detailed description, the meta title and meta description into your SEO plugin (e.g. Yoast, RankMath), and the tags into your tag field.

Tips for Outstanding Results

Fill in your product data completely. The tool only works with what's in the data library. Customer problem, solution, target audience, and unique selling point are the most important fields — the more specific they are, the better the output.

Use the "Technical Details" field for everything not in the data library. Dimensions, weights, materials, delivery contents — this information doesn't belong in the business profile, it belongs directly in the tool's form.

Upload product data sheets to the knowledge base. This is especially worthwhile for technical products, supplements, cosmetics, or certified products. The tool can then reference exact specifications, ingredients, or test results.

Generate multiple variants. Clicking "Create Product Description" again produces a new version. For A/B testing in your shop, it's worth comparing 2–3 variants — especially for the hook and bullet points.

Always verify all numbers and claims. The tool only uses data that is documented in your data library. Still: read through dimensions, prices, and percentages before publishing and confirm they match your current offer.
