Cross-Posting – Publish a Post on Multiple Platforms at Once
Overview
The cross-posting feature lets you schedule or publish a social media post to multiple platforms simultaneously with a single click. This saves time and ensures your content appears consistently across all channels – without creating and scheduling it multiple times.
The feature is available in the following tools:
Social Media Posts Creator (Instagram & Facebook posts)
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Create your post
Create your post as usual in one of the supported tools. You can either have Christiani.AI generate the post for you or write it manually.
Tip: Keep the character limits for your target platforms in mind while writing (details below) if you plan to publish the post across multiple channels.
2. Schedule or publish the post
Once you're happy with your post, click the button to schedule or publish it. The familiar post dialog will open.
3. Select target platforms
In the post dialog, you'll see an option to select additional platforms where this post should go live simultaneously. Simply enable the desired platforms using the checkbox or toggle.
Important: Only platforms whose character limit is met by your post text will be selectable. If your text is too long, the corresponding platform will appear greyed out.
4. Set date and time
Choose whether to publish immediately or schedule for a later time. The selected date and time apply to all chosen platforms.
5. Submit the post
Click "Post now" or "Schedule post" to publish or schedule the post across all selected platforms at once.
All scheduled and published posts will then appear in the Social Media Calendar.
Input Parameters and Character Limits
For cross-posting to work, your post text must comply with the platform-specific character limits:
Note: If your text exceeds the limit for a platform, that platform cannot be selected for cross-posting. Shorten the post accordingly, or create a separate, tailored post for that platform.
Results and Further Processing
All posts scheduled or published via cross-posting appear in the Social Media Calendar, color-coded by platform.
You can access all published or scheduled posts at any time via Saved Content.
Scheduled posts can be edited, rescheduled, or cancelled via the calendar or the respective post overview – as long as the publish date is still in the future.
